Tomorrow will be Pentecost, also a season, a season which will ultimately give way to Common Time, or the Growing Season which, in turn, will take us all the way to Advent. The liturgical calendar is important in many ways, not the least being that it is a regular reminder that, in the grace-filled providence of God, “to everything there is a season.”
