Summer is just around the corner – and summer at Lakeshore offers its own unique opportunities for Christian Formation. Our fellowship, our learning, our outreach and our worship all transition slightly to adjust for the season of relaxation, vacation, outdoor activities and savoring life’s goodness.
During the summer months we are able to come together as a church family, with intergenerational activities that bring people together in important ways. While social life often separates the generations, Lakeshore’s summer activities celebrate our church family in all its phases and stages of life. I hope you consider joining in one or more of these intergenerational summer events:
All Church A’s Game, June 17 – baseball, tailgate fellowship and fireworks – the best that summer has to offer!
Vacation Bible Camp, July 18-22 – Bible Camp, filled with singing, dancing, Bible stories, games, science experiments, snacks and a movie, offers something for everyone! Campers welcome, volunteers needed. Contact Camp Director Jesse Lucas for more info.
All Church Retreat, August 12-14 – Retreat to the redwoods, rest in the arms of God, reconnect with your Lakeshore family. There are learning tracks for kids, teens and adults.
More info about each of these events can be found in the Transmitter. I hope you can enjoy some summer fun with your church family!
