Dear Church Family,

As always, it was good to be with you in worship on Sunday. To gather at the Table of Communion is  always an inspiring experience. Thanks to all who helped make the experience so rich. It was also a great to joy to join with all the other blue shirt wearing Baptists as we walked around the lake to support the ministry of our Hunger Task Force. Serving others and working for the good of the community can be a lot of fun.

This coming Sunday we honor our graduates and promotees. These students give us many reasons to be both proud and optimistic.  My words to them will be “When  many of you were very young your family brought you to church to be dedicated to God. As part of your dedication service I held you, I walked you up and down the center aisle introducing you to the congregation and I prayed ‘Loving God, may this precious child grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with you and with all humanity.’ I prayed that you would grow physically, mentally and spiritually, that you would be a blessing to your Creator and a blessing to your community.  I am happy to say that I see these things happening. May  they continue.”
